2009 WESTERN REGIONAL WAR PRACTICE

As the War looms nearer we are all preparing our army to face the multitudes that will try in vain to prevail against us. There isn’t much time left and we need as much organization and training as we can get to insure our complete and total victory. It is for this reason (and the fact that there WILL BE FOOD) we want you to come and join us for the 2009 Western Region War Practice!

Calling all heavy fighters! Calling all rapier fighters! Calling all army auxiliary! Calling anyone else who has a desire to help!

On February 21st, from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm, the Shire of Ardanroe will be hosting a Western Region War Practice at the Mike Woods Park in Bossier City. Come out and enjoy a full day of war fighting to hone the skills of the Gleann Abhann Army!

ADDRESS: Mike Wood Community Park, 2017 Dennis Street, Bossier City, Louisiana

DIRECTIONS: From I-20, take exit 22 (Airline Dr.) south to Barksdale Blvd. Turn left onto Barksdale Blvd to Shady Grove Dr. Turn left onto Shady Grove Dr. It ends at a T-intersection at Dennis Street. Turn right on Dennis St. It will take you directly into Mike Woods Park.

We will gather at the round pavilion which is past the swimming pool and near the playground and comfort stations.

Please note that Mike Woods Park is a public facility and as such expect curious spectators who may approach with questions. The wear of garb is highly encouraged.

Also, per city ordinance, the facility closes at dark. Therefore, everything needs to be cleaned/picked up and everyone gone before the sun sets.

 

There will be a Mardi Gras parade at 4:30 in the vicinity of the park. The parade route is outlined on the following map.
